1. Who we are
Pantry2Door (pantry2door.com.au) is operated by GANI Tech Pty Ltd (ABN: 33 683 311 006), based in Saint Clair, NSW 2759, Australia. We're an online Indian and South Asian grocery store, hand-delivering orders Sydney-wide. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our Site or place an order, and how we handle it.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information we collect
We collect the personal information you provide when you place an order or contact us, including:
- Your name, delivery address, phone number, and email address, collected at checkout or when you order via WhatsApp
- Your order history, the items you've purchased, and any delivery notes you give us
- Messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form
We do not collect or store your full payment card details ourselves. Card payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments. PayID bank transfer is a payment method we plan to offer in future (see Section 5 below).
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Confirm, fulfil, and deliver your order
- Contact you about your order (e.g. confirmation, substitutions, delivery updates)
- Respond to questions or requests you send us
- Send you marketing communications, but only if you've opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time
- Keep records we're required to keep for tax and accounting purposes
4. Cookies
Our Site, hosted on Shopify, uses essential cookies that are required for your cart and checkout to work. These can't be switched off. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand how visitors use our Site and to measure the performance of our advertising. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions with our Site and ads, and may set cookies on your device. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalisation through your Facebook/Instagram ad preference settings. Our Site may also show a pop-up offering a discount when it detects you're about to leave a page — this uses your browser's local storage, not a tracking cookie, purely to avoid showing it again too soon, and doesn't collect any personal information. 5. Who we share your information with
We only share your personal information with the service providers we need to run the Site and fulfil your order:
- Shopify, our e-commerce platform, which hosts the Site, processes checkout, and (via Shopify Payments) processes card payments on our behalf. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy for how Shopify handles your information.
- Your bank, once PayID bank transfer becomes available as a payment option.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
6. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on Shopify's servers, which may be located outside Australia as part of Shopify's standard global infrastructure. Shopify applies appropriate safeguards to protect information transferred this way. If you're visiting our Site from outside Australia, your information will still be handled as described in this Policy.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your order and account information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, meet our tax and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. If you ask us to delete your personal information and we're not required to keep it for a legal reason, we will do so.
8. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction if it's wrong, and to ask us to delete it (subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it). To do any of this, contact us using the details in Section 10.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your personal information, you can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. Children's privacy
Our Site is intended for use by adults placing grocery orders. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and our Terms and Conditions require you to be at least 18 to place an order.
10. Security and contact
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including relying on Shopify's platform-level security (encrypted connections, secure payment processing). No online system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll notify you if we become aware of a breach affecting your information as required by law.
