Collection: Navratri Fasting Staples
The fasting-friendly staples for Navratri's nine days: kuttu (buckwheat) flour, singoda (water chestnut) flour, sabudana (tapioca pearls), rock salt, barnyard millet, makhana, and ready-to-eat farali snacks for the nights when cooking from scratch isn't realistic. Order ahead of 11 October so it's already in the kitchen when the fast starts.
What can you eat during Navratri fasting? Most families keep to vrat-friendly foods: kuttu and singoda flour, sabudana, barnyard millet (sama), makhana, potatoes, fruit and dairy, seasoned with rock salt (sendha namak) instead of regular salt. Customs differ between families, so check what your household follows. We deliver across Sydney, Monday to Saturday.
