Diwali mithai and dry-fruit shopping list, delivered across Sydney
Share
Diwali falls on 8 November this year, and the shopping for it rarely happens in one trip. Between mithai-making ingredients, ready-made sweets for guests, and dry fruits for gifting, it's a wider list than a normal week's groceries, and one worth ordering ahead of the day rather than the weekend before.
If you're making mithai at home
Ghee and besan are the two most-used ingredients across home mithai-making, the base for everything from laddoo to barfi. Worth ordering in bulk if you're making a batch for family as well as your own household.
If you'd rather buy it ready-made
Ready-made mithai, ladoo, barfi, soan papdi, from brands like Haldiram's, Bikano, and Bikaji, covers you for guests or gifting without a day in the kitchen. Order enough that you're not making a second run the week of.
For gifting or the snack bowl
Dry fruits, cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins, and dates, work as a gift on their own or alongside a box of sweets. They keep well too, so ordering a bit extra isn't wasted if Diwali guests run longer than the day itself.
Ordering it ahead
Send your list on WhatsApp, photo or typed, in whatever language is easiest, and we'll confirm it back with pricing before anything's charged. The earlier in the lead-up you order, the less likely you're substituting at the last minute because something's sold out. The same range is also on the full catalogue if you'd rather browse it yourself.
Send your list
Diwali shopping is easier spread across one order than three separate trips. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll get it delivered before the day.
